The Corridor x Miles Davis capsule collection consists of seven limited-edition pieces inspired by Miles Davis’ musical legacy, as well as his personal style. The capsule was designed to evoke the sharp Ivy aesthetic Davis gravitated towards and made his own in the 1950s. The centerpieces are an Oxford shirt featuring the iconic Miles silhouette embroidered on the pocket and a chore coat featuring his signature embroidered in hand dipped space dye yarn. The capsule also includes a pair of graphic t-shirts and a pair of caps.
To channel Davis’ personal style from his early decades living in New York City that inspired the collection, the capsule’s photo campaign was shot in front of and around his old Upper West Side apartment on 77th Street between Riverside Drive and West End Drive. Miles lived at 312 77th Street from the late 1950s until the mid 1980s. The block was officially renamed Miles Davis Way in 2014.
