Heavy Wash Dobby LS
This item is final sale and not eligible for return or exchange. Please allow extended shipping time for all sale items.
The Heavy Wash Dobby is comprised of hundreds of fisheye dobbies allowing the shirt to function as both a motif and a solid. The shirt is washed from a deep indigo until it has achieved this worn summer blue. The hand, weave, and color feel like an heirloom - as though it had been left on the back of a beach chair three summers back and finally returned to you in all its sun-faded, salt-infused and sand-washed glory.

What does responsibility mean? People talk a lot about transparency and sustainability. I think the sum is responsibility. For Corridor, this means that we actually work in the factory with the tailors every season to create the garments and ensure the workshops are environmentally certified (ISO 9001) and socially accountable (SA 8000). You can feel good knowing where and how the garment was made.
This garment was a made in 3rd generation, open air workshop with on site day care, garden, paying a living wage to the artisans who made the goods. The workshop is located in Madras, India and melds the new (Japanese sewing machines) and the old (hand embroidery, hand loomed fabrics, natural dying) for a product that is authentic and contemporary. This is a mostly woman operated factory and is partnered with a rehabilitation center for women encountering domestic violence. We work out of the workshop for approximately two months of the year.
