Corduroy Overshirt - Black
The corduroy overshirt features a heavyweight 14-wale cord, two hip pockets, one chest pocket and a number of internal cell phone pockets so you'll have a place for everything (including 1 or 2 extra face masks).
The cord is of the weighty-and-brushed style that you'd expect from an old-style cord blazer, but in our overshirt pattern that we've been adjusting for the past 6 years.
For all intents and purposes, the overshirt is the new blazer, so you might as well have have it in a fall cord because it's useful and matches everything else in your closet...
Dakota is 6'1" and is wearing the Corduroy Overshirt in size M.
What does responsibility mean? People talk a lot about transparency and sustainability. I think the sum is responsibility. For Corridor, this means that we actually work in the factory with the tailors every season to create the garments and ensure the workshops are environmentally certified (ISO 9001) and socially accountable (SA 8000). You can feel good knowing where and how the garment was made.
This garment was a made in 3rd generation, open air workshop with on site day care, garden, paying a living wage to the artisans who made the goods. The workshop is located in Madras, India and melds the new (Japanese sewing machines) and the old (hand embroidery, hand loomed fabrics, natural dying) for a product that is authentic and contemporary. This is a mostly woman operated factory and is partnered with a rehabilitation center for women encountering domestic violence. We work out of the workshop for approximately two months of the year.
